The Whispering Oak Elementary PTO is organized for the purpose of supporting the education of children at Whispering Oak Elementary by fostering positive relationships among the school, parents, and teachers; and to give financial support to the school by providing funds to enrich the learning environment of the school.
We do this in a variety of ways including:
Hosting events for students and families, like Trunk or Treat and the Spring Carnival
Funding grants for teachers for special projects, ranging from $250-$,1500
Planning and hosting the Fifth Grade Celebration
Supporting our faculty and staff throughout the years with appreciation celebrations

Position Descriptions
Position Descriptions
The President is responsible for overseeing the entire Executive Board and organizes our school carnival. The president also oversees all school and teacher grant requests.
This person would be responsible for organizing fundraising, restaurant spirit nights, and school spirit wear. School spirit wear includes working with vendor, keeping inventory and filling orders.
The Treasurer will be responsible for the PTO budget, handling of funds, banking and financial reports.
This person is responsible for our membership drive and recording the minutes at both board and general meetings.
This person is our team social butterfly who oversees the planning of our family events such as our Mother/Son and Father/Daughter events. They are also in charge of our welcome back lunch for all staff, boohoo breakfast for kindergarten parents and all staff appreciation days.
