You Only Live Once! Be Drug Free!
During October 23rd - 26th, Whispering Oak Elementary School will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week, the largest drug prevention campaign in the country.
Whispering Oak Red Ribbon Week Theme: Good Character, Good Choices: Drug & Bully Free.
Please see below special activities to show the community that Whispering Oak Elementary chooses to be drug free.
Students can celebrate the week by earning a raffle ticket for their chance to win a Red Ribbon prize package!
How can students get a raffle ticket? Students will get a raffle ticket each day they are wearing the attire to support Red Ribbon Week. 48 students will win a prize package! Winners will be picked randomly and announced throughout the week.
ALL students will be getting a red smiley face bracelet that promotes this positive message.
Monday Oct. 23: Wear RED - Support Red Ribbon week, Be Drug and Bully Free
Tuesday Oct. 24 : Wear your craziest pair of socks - Sock it to drugs and bullying
Wednesday Oct. 25: Wear your sports jersey or shirt - Team up against drugs and bullying
Thursday Oct. 26: Wear Neon - Our future is too bright for drugs and bullying
Friday Oct. 27: Wear your Whispering Oak Wildcat shirt - We are PAW-sitively against drugs and bullying
Students will also be signing a pledge to be bully & drug free.
Red Ribbon Week: It is a drug, violence & bullying prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. This is a campaign our district strongly supports.
National Red Ribbon Theme: # YOLO You Only Live Once: Be Drug Free. ALL students will get a book marker and sticker supporting this nation-wide theme.
